Minor progress on エルフさん, I think my interest is beginning to fade again but I can ganbare to the end I reckon. I feel like Sein sometimes with these two dorks:
Seriously you’re sitting together watching a movie ‘naturally our bodies moved to hold one another’ you’re stroking her silky hair and constantly staring into her amestyst sparkly eyes or whatever jesus christ GET TO THE KISSING -
Finished やがて君になる１, really enjoyed it. It’s fun having a heroine who isn’t sure about what love is (she gives off aro/ace vibes at time). It does mean you have to be absolutely sure about what the hell they’re saying though in the emotional monologues though because despite the simple language it’s filled with nuances. Thankfully I have an english version (the lettering is awful though, it’s in that era when they wouldn’t stop bolding random words). I have a few more vols on hand so will add it to my ‘continue’ pile.

Started 着せ替え人形5 (Dress-Up Darling 5). After a year away from reading this in Japanese this is… so much easier it’s unbelievable. The ero love comedy-ness of it is also somewhat of a release from the melodrama of やがて君 because I don’t have to understand any nuance whatsoever.

Bit of a fallow day today after finishing 君の名は yesterday. Read in bits and pieces but no big reading sessions done except some ホリミヤ comfort food. Really didn’t feel up to sitting down and whacking out 50+ pages of a novel today. I did decide that it’s time to finally get around to my proverbial elephant in the room and read ノルウェイの森 already though. I have a great ability to start reading books and then stop reading them. This time is the time I’m actually going to read this one, though. It’s the big one.

Well, some progress.
I appreciate it. I meant what I said a bit more literally though. I did get word today that my realtor has received my new apartment contract and I can sign it once he finishes preparing a few things. I am/was feeling anxious because I’ve given notice at my current apartment and very much do not want to be homeless. Other stuff I still have to wait on.

Legend of Heroes Trails of Cold Steel 2
I did the remaining quests and continued the main story line. The poor people of Celdric their home town got destroyed and the major died while rescuing other people. But don’t worry we will take revenge on the bad guys.

I haven’t reached the unfamiliar part that I thought I’d reach yet which is why I still made relatively smooth progress today.
I’m still in the process of catching up with the thread but I just saw your post @DIO-Berry and hope that you will get to sign the contract very soon to relieve your concern.

two chapters of 3月のライオン and…i’m not feeling it? only one chapter left of this bit though. also finished the psycho-pass side story and finished 上 as a whole! onto 下 which will probably take another couple of months. need to pick another eng book, not sure what to go for next

Officially read 1/3 of the book!
Feels nice. There’s some short stories that leave me completely baffled barely comprehending anything and others where I understand everything and blitz through pages without looking up anything.
I will try to pick up the pace a bit!

HOME POST Checking in again, haven’t really gotten the chance to update, but also did’t have much to say so guess it’s fine. Finished Volume 3 of スーパーの裏でヤニ吸うふたり in the meantime (Have reached Level 33 on WaniKani now and learned the Kanji for 裏, so that might have been my celebratory act for this lol)
Anyway, I do love how they get closer now and it’s cute to see the good influence they have on each other!

I estimate the Natively difficulty to be 30-32. It’s hard to compare to other books around the same difficulty if you’ve read those as a beginner just starting out. It’s going to lead to the raised book club level effect.
I wonder if other people are also conscious about this when they’re grading/comparing difficulty between books. I doubt Natively as a system considers this. All I know is that it is possible to skip gradings.
