I’m already in two local summer reading challenges so I may as well add this. Summer reading stuff plus reading a few posts on various forums really spurred me on to read something (textbook, graded reader, manga…) in Japanese every day so this challenge should work out well.
Participating in this to hold myself accountable in trying to read 黒牢城, aiming to hopefully finish before the movie adaptation gets released in my country. On the side, I’ll be rereading メダリスト and probably starting on 煙たい話.
My Natively (I’m always on the lookout for more books to add to my 積読 pile…)
Simply put, I don’t want to lose to other readers here, be it ABC, miscellaneous clubs, reading on one’s own (the freedom of choosing and really finishing the book).
I plan to make use of a book club if it holds my interest, but I might stop if it (as of then) too hard or what…
Goals
3 books (book clubs well considered)
40 manga volumes
5 manga series of at least 2 volume each (hopefully IMC and SRBC)
I brought so many books back from Japan that I need to read! My main goal is keeping up with reading in August once the school year starts and the kids are back, I think those first few weeks will be my biggest challenge motivation wise. This time I’d also like to read for the full three months.
As always, thank you for hosting yet another Read Every Day Challenge @DIO-Berry .
I’m looking to shift my focus back to reading and will be joining this challenge for the next two months.
While I will likely manage to read daily, I’m not sure if I’ll update daily; it’ll depend on how I feel. I will at least tick off the calendar regularly.
Will adjust and update this post and my reading material as I go.
