Goals and Thoughts

Originally I had not planned to continue my perfect streak from the winter challenge, but I’ve honestly gotten so used to reading every day that it feels wrong not to!

This time I want to read a lot of manga, yes, but also I don’t want to feel bad about playing video games that I find beneficial to reading. I’ve added a “sections completed” column so that I can track some progress for games other than time. Right now I’m playing a farming sim, for example, so a section might be a day. Idk, maybe this’ll be more hassle than it’s worth, but right now the idea feels good.

I’m not sure that I want to set any number goals for myself, either, really. I did that for February and it just added stress and didn’t motivate me much. I think at this level I want to feel free to spend as much time as I need on learning as I read, and a speed goal would deter from that I think. The real motivator for me is keeping the streak going while reading at least 30 minutes per day, so let’s call that my goal!

Generally, I do want to compare my times and pages to the winter session. It’ll be interesting to see how it does or doesn’t change.
