If I hadn’t been part of tis challenge I don’t think I’d have read today and I’m glad I did.

Today I read two more chapters of Frieren. Kinda slower chapters today, I guess they were harder
Read a few pages of behind the supermarket
Day 3: Yay another page of manga at least. Like @drdru said – if not for the challenge, I wouldn’t have read anything today.
One page is better than no page~

Finished route C of Island
. It looks like I finished the game too, but given that it always has another prologue, another layer, another surprise, I know that there’s more to it.
Also finished chapter 15 of Loopers. Just 2 more chapters left!

i forgot how hard-hitting bits of 3月のライオン are, oof. also the column had shogi tsume puzzles but no answers
speaking of tsume, i’ve reached the puzzle section of the shogi book, so we’ll see if any of what i read actually went in ![]()

I’m gonna try and do the challenge too. Last time I failed miserably but this time I have more motivation and time! ![]()
Not making a home post because I’m currently reading the So-matome N5 book (that counts, right? lol) which already forces me to read daily and is boring to write about. But I’ll share the notes and doodles from my “immersion diary” whenever I read other stuff. Currently the new Zelda game!
(just started writing japanese so my characters are very wobbly/insecure
)
still don’t know what イガイガ means… one of the deku used it while he was shaking. Jotoba says “bur (of a chestnut, etc.), burr” problem: I don’t even know what bur means LOL (english is not my first language obviously)
Have you ever walked through a planty area and had little bits of the plants stuck into your clothes? Those are burs.
Thank you!! The translation to german confused me… this helps and since deku are plant creatures that’s probably what it meant. ![]()

Actually, for someone who just started, your writing looks relatively clean, legible, and balanced! I was already going to compliment you on how cute it looks, and then I was surprised to see that you’re just starting out. o(^-^)o
The only suggestion I would make (not that you asked for suggestions, so I hope you will forgive me, but I want to save you from trouble further down the road!!!) is to make sure that you’re looking up the stroke order for your kanji. Writing your kanji with the correct number of strokes in the correct order is critical not only for making your handwriting look good, but also (often) for looking things up in dictionaries. For instance, it looks like maybe you wrote 戸 with 5 strokes and 屋 with 8 strokes, but they should be 4 and 9, respectively.
Again, sorry, I know you didn’t ask for feedback–I hope you don’t mind!
I was a beginning Japanese teacher for a while, so it’s an old habit.
Your immersion diary is totally adorable. Maybe if I did something like this, I would find my millionth year of vocabulary study more enjoyable…
