Day 2: Today was still not great, so I limited my reading to 1 page of manga just to ‘show up’. Really didn’t feel like doing it. Unfortunate that this month started off with bad mental health

A few more minutes today! I started the first Detective Conan volume, which turned out to be surprisingly wordy?? There’s hardly any space in each panel for the scene since the text bubbles are so big But it’s important for one of my book bingo categories, so I must persist!
I’m really looking forward to Friday evening and spending lots of time cuddled up warmly and reading all of my books

Today I read 15k characters from books and am now utterly exhausted. Idk why my stamina for books is so much lower than manga. Now I’m going to go watch a very easy episode of しろくまカフェ to get my listening for the day in.

that’s not that low imho, but you’re using different brain muscles (there’s a lot more descriptive text in prose for instance) so it’s natural that the stamina limit is different

Wow, such a busy day. About an hour or so of reading, and a few hours of listening today. Very much enjoying Frieren as it’s closer to my level, but I also love the challenge of Dungeon Meshi since it has a much broader vocabulary for me to get used to.

Unrelated to Japanese studies… Man I’m so tired from such a long day lol. It’s 1am and I only just had dinner since I had to attend 2 classes totaling about 5 hours, gym for 2 hours, do my Japanese studies, Compsci projects and so on… Extremely tired, but very happy that I was able to make a lot of progress today and continue towards my goals.

im up to page 20 of the first volume of ハイキュー！！
The mental fog and exhaustion is real
I am enjoying it but it gets tiring very quickly.
If nothing else, this manga is cementing 試合 for me 
I have read each day so far, which I am happy with.
going to do some more reviews and do a bit more reading in bed tonight.

3rd october 
shogi book is pretty helpful in general but when 3月のライオン comes out with a whole bunch of moves one after the other i really struggle visualising it. it’s good tho, i adored the anime when i first watched it and i’m enjoying experiencing the story again. i ended up doing a lot of lost judgment plot yesterday but now i can do the side content (it’s finally the right time of day asdfghjkl)
