Had a really good start to the month with reading. Since starting to track time, I’m making a lot more effort to sit down and read for half an hour at a time, and because of this my reading speed has definitely picked up. I’m also finding it much easier to understand longer sentences.
Bluelock has finally turned from a slog where I was looking up every other word to where now I’m managing to really get into it and can read 10-20 pages at a time and just have fun, so this has been a nice turning point! Hoping to finish it in the next few days and then onto volume 2

Been a while since my last update, but finally have something reading related worth mentioning!
Read:
- ARIA the NATURAL (3:54 → 13:54) - Done! I’ve “finished” my first real visual novel! That was one of my goals for 2024, so it’s nice to knock it out so early. There’s still 2 other normal and 3 other true routes, but story-wise they all supposedly follow mostly the same progression (except for an additional story chapter in the true routes). I also read a bit of a japanese strategy guide for this game to figure out what I needed to do for the true endings, and you can’t even get on those routes until after you’ve finished a normal route. I’m going to play again at least once, but I think I’ll give it at least a lil time.
I’ll be moving on to the ARIA the ORIGINATION visual novel next, which I think should be about the same length. Might just be able to finish both of them this month if I keep up a pretty good 1-2 hours a day pace 
As for the listening challenge progress, currently at 42/100 hours for the month already!

So, today I read the first two chapters from Aryn’s wonderful world, and I personally think it’s very cute However, this is not all that happened today.
I also decided to join the Newspaper reading challenge today (to lazy to link the thread lmao), but I won’t translate the texts (except for my weekly two article translations). I already read one NHK Easy article without translating it today, and I was done in five minutes 
I originally planned to read one article a day this way, but if I’m that fast, I might change that into four 
Last but not least, I also finally made a (very bad) table!

Must finish アオハライド (2) tomorrow to keep to my plan of a volume/week! Today I also had my weekly study session of A Dictionary of Basic Japanese Grammar (pp. 126-156).
Will the option to download Kindle books be next

Well with a bit of effort I’m now up to date with all book clubs except the dictionary, and I managed 7 entries last week so at least I didn’t fall any further behind!
Work will be busy next week so I feel I need to keep on top of things really well to avoid falling behind, especially since I’m planning to read the IBC club read from next Saturday. If possible, I’d also like to progress on the non- book clubs reads I’m currently reading (本好き light novel 2 and おじさんと猫 manga). I really wanted to have finished them before I hit this many book clubs.
One plus is that I started both the current Natively clubs late but have caught up OK. I’ll probably try getting a little ahead in the sweet shop book. I’m also tempted to just finish 1-2 of the manga that are nearly at the end of the volume anyway, then have a space before the club moves onto the next volume.
