I guess so, I misunderstood. But this years model had the 300ppi and USB-C charging which is all I needed.
Same screen size as my OG PaperWhite, but smaller bezels.

My home post has now been updated with my Natively, though it’s still under construction (partly because I mostly haven’t done unfinished books yet, partly because 44% of books/series I own and/or have read aren’t on Natively yet).

I ended up being rather busy today, so I found myself once again simply going through manga on pixiv and reading what I could. It wasn’t the most productive, but at least I was reading.

あん - 2 pages (end of ch 6)
舞妓さんちのまかないさん - chapter 20 (end of vol 2)
Finished this week’s reading of あん - definitely had some hard chapters in there and need to look up many words still. I’m done with this week’s reading clubs, so I might focus a bit more on grammar/look up words today, but I’m also quite tired so will probably not get that much done. I also finished the 2nd volume of 舞妓さんちのまかないさん; I love the physical editions and just reading a chapter before bed, they are so relaxing. I still have other manga I bought last time (and books), so I have to hold myself back to not buy vol 3 right away.

Some manga recommendations
Shadow House felt easy in the first few books because there was brief dialogue exchange between the two main characters, but as the series develops the mystery, it feels about the same level with little furigana. The content might interest you as well.
If you like an episodic ghost story title, 絶叫学級 and its continuation 絶叫学級 転生 aren’t bad if you don’t try to read them all at once (the stories can get repetitive and easy to figure out).
It’s rated a little higher at 24 on Natively than the one you’re reading, but it has furigana, so it doesn’t feel very hard unless the different (mostly high schooler) dialogue trips you up. But the vocab rarely has specialized/technical terms unless it’s like a story about an alien or something.
If you want an actual story, there’s a romantic/suspense/adventure manga called D.N. Angel. Sometimes it uses some technical jargon and can be a little complicated as it explains the nature of the boy who can transform into the Phantom Thief Dark when he thinks about the girl he likes. It’s also rated about the same level at 22, but it’s got full furigana.

Oh wow thanks for sharing the detailed feedback with everyone here! I’ve never had a kindle and I’ve been contemplating really hard on getting one, bc the eye strain I’m getting from all the phone, laptop or other screens is getting too much… I have a tablet but it’s too old and not enough space and it’s also heavy, so reading all the info that you mentioned is really helpful! Kinda dreading the whole make separate Japanese kindle account etc etc but I’ll figure it out eventually.
Does anyone have the link to the guide for that?

short read today thanks to combination of tiredness and needing to put up a table, will go back to 逆転検事２next week
did another y3 video, slightly more voice acting this time but not much. might do some more later. i’m enjoying it so far, can’t for everything to start going wrong (or at least to see how we end up at the opening cutscene).
poked around with a few nhk articles, ending up reading the most of this one on AI and wimbledon. glad i’m at least vaguely familiar with tennis terms otherwise all the katakana would have been completely incomprehensible.
today’s fate episode was ルドミリア’s and honestly, props to the voice actress for doing all that laughter, it must have been exhausting. mushrooms that make you laugh, huh…
