40 = 卌

Used back when they used counting sticks for numbers, I can see why they’re not used now - similar to how the formal numbers for 一, 二, 三 are used to prevent forgery - but I kind of prefer them, they’re look less clunky that 三十 etc.

Day 14… もう疲れた

I’m always so fatigued recently, might still be impacts of my health problems, shrug. I’m continuing but it’s tough to focus. Don’t have the energy to say too much but I finished the third episode 9-nine- with the club, reading a little over 7000 characters. It was, uhh, ok? This series has some elements we’ve all taken issue with here and there or just felt not quite in the target audience for, but it’s alright. Fun to read together anyway. One more to go (well, I guess and a bonus shorter epilogue probably). If I can find any energy, I haven’t quite mined enough words so far or spent an amount of time I’d consider satisfactory, so I want to read a little more 硝子の塔の殺人 in a bit, but we’ll see.
