Lots of bad omens (不吉), and 体.
It hasn’t even started yet, just some 登場人物. However, next chap seems like fun.

With audiobook listening 2x, but perhaps I should go slower, like 1.5x; and consider looking up.
Interesting vocabularies
- 浸潤 soaked and wet, into the body solution. Like 浸透 mentioned the other day.
- 案件 = like 提案した件
- もうろく senility. Like 朦朧 + 来る. Kanji form is 耄碌, with second Kanji from 碌に…ない
- 立ち止まる stop in one’s track, with rat’s front teeth (Rendaku)
- 一匹狼 a lone wolf. Expected to be seen/heard one day, but only happens today.
- 無害 harmless. Describing harm, rather than injury (損).
- 敵陣 enemy grounds, like encampment. 陣 refers to battle area, where I confused with 軍人 (vs 軍陣).
Phrases
- 手間が省ける save the troubles (手間). The verb part is 省く = to save / to economize, like curtailing in half.
Forgotten ones
- 廃棄 disposing. I have to look-up to make sure, but explanatory by Kanji.
