Reached the end of WaniKani, but

Even though I FINALLY reached level 60 on WaniKani, and there are no more kanji’s to learn on this site, why does it feel a bit sad… I think it’s because there are wayyyy more kanji out there that don’t even make it to this site and I’m bummed that I thought I could learn them all here but it’s not the case. So I wonder what other folks are doing after passing level 60 how you study for the harder kanji.. I feel kinda robbed in a way.

Congratulations on getting to 60!

As @WaniTsunami said, you can take the freed up WK time and add it to your reading practice time.

As you read more, you’ll run into the non-WK stuff as you go. Then you can either add those to an SRS deck of your own making, or you can try to rely on repetition and remember them over time as they keep cropping up.

You can also try something like koohi.cafe, WK-friendly SRS site where you can look up word lists of a few hundred books to drill vocab that you don’t know before getting stuck into reading.

It can be weird to let go of the crabigator’s loving pincer, but you did it! You’re free to spend less time on repetitive learning, and more time on using that skill to read what you enjoy! :crabigator:

Congrats on making it to level 60. A part of me wants to go up to level 70 and cover all the remaining JLPT and Joyo Kanji. Another part of me just wants to get to level 60 and never look back. :durtle_megane:
