I want to know if there is anything I can do to make the book club more interesting for you guys. (Please be kind to me :sob:) I’m asking for ways for me to get better, for example, more details, more organization, change some things in my way of doing things, etc… I can accept critics so I won’t be mad if you say I’m bad :sob:

I really liked the side stories in this one!
Which makes me think I’ll probably really enjoy the side story books, which is bad for the wallet. :joy:

The structure of the book, particularly the end with the side stories being put where they were, was really cool. Not what I expected, but worthy of an anime cliffhanger.

I like that book. There was a lot of action and interesting conversation. Everything that has been said in the last book was reuse in that one. The end was intense because after all the suffering Subaru had he still have to do it again. Poor Subaru. The two surprise archbishops were just passing by saying hello. Will Subaru be able to pass one day without having problems? I think not. I just can’t wait to continue reading. The difficulty just spiked in some moments but it was still manageable.

Yeah, I just impulse bought the first 4 ex novels on ebay. I think I got a pretty good price, but. Well. They’ll probably take a while to get here so maybe I’ll be caught up on the main story by then. :see_no_evil:

I bought them ALL.

The impulse was not that strong, luckily.

Or maybe I was too strong.

I wish.

I saw the movie booklets too, but one of those would’ve cost more than the 4 I did buy together.
One day, though.

I think I said this before to Belerith, but ただそれだけの物語 is one of my favorite chapters ever. The conclusion Tappei-sensei comes up with for what this story is really about was very refreshing when I first read it, especially considering the dark nature of the story. What makes it even more unforgettable is what happens right after. There’s no taking a long break for Subaru.

Having to go through the REM-if before getting to know what actually happened with Rem is cruel as usual too.

The REM-if was unexpectedly shown in 3 very quick frames in the anime right before Gluttony eats her memories:

implying how this could have been all a part of what Rem has imagined from before (in the ゼロから chapter).

The strongest closing of an arc. Next volume starts arc 4, the longest arc so far.

Uh, somehow I really didn’t feel that much reading this book, especially compared to what you all are saying
I guess it was fun to see Subaru steamroll ペテルギウスペテルギウス. Also the reaction of the Witch was fun when P showed up instead of him. Basically “excuse me but who the F are you and what are you doing in my Subaru-place? Go ‘way”

When the “who is Rem?” happened, basically my reaction was “again?!”

One funny thing that happened while reading is that I kept getting keywords confused with another book series I am reading. Like Subaru thinking “加護 are amazing!” and my reaction was “meh, it’s just a small mana boost… oh wait nope wrong series”. Also, it that book series there was a dialogue including 寵愛 and 勤勉, and my gut reaction was “cultists!” just to realize that nope they aren’t a think in that universe.

All in all, I had a good time reading it, but I guess it’s painfully obvious I’m not the target audience. Which, again, isn’t going to stop me :woman_shrugging:
