Re Zero book club home thread

I think both of us seem to have been reading this thread right now anyway

But to be honest, I probably won’t be able to catch up completely before summer starts anyway, and after it does I’ll probably be able to manage basically any crazy pace

I just realized it’s only the both of us who voted for “faster speed” in the last poll :joy: well, I guess not then.

Yeah that’s fair :joy:

I’d be up for a faster speed, but not sure if everyone would be on board. :slightly_smiling_face:

Is the reason you guys want to catch up before S2, is so you can watch it straight-away when it comes out? Then, go back to the novels?

That’s probably my reason alone. Would have liked to be able to read the respective parts of the novel after each episode. And I’m forcing myself not to read in 2 places at once.

I don’t mind raising the pace a little but doubling the speed will be extremely painful. We will definitly lose people on the way

I think I could theoretically read at a faster pace - don’t know necessarily that I want to as that would of course cut into my reading of non book club items. ^^ At the same time, a faster reading speed does make for a more satisfying reading experience. These books really aren’t meant to be read over such a long time…

Another option might be raise the speed just slightly (maybe to 50 or sth?) and cut out the break week.

I feel like that might lead to rezero burn out on my part though. :sweat_drops:

Was organizing some folders and stumbled upon these 2 vector drawings I did way back in 2016. That was a nice but now-lost hobby of mine :pensive:

I’m pretty sure there’s also some picture of a pencil drawing I made back then as a challenge with a friend… Have to find it.

They are really good. Why did you stop drawing?

Just no time at all ;-;

Found the pencil drawing! This was the last drawing I ever did, 2016 too. I didn’t find the original paper but found an awful picture of it.

I also found

As much as I wanted to buy it the price is sligthly high. I guess by the title that’s an alternate universe depending of a choice subaru made. @mrahhal do you know about it. You seem pretty knowledgable about Re Zero so I was wondering.

By the way @mrahhal you can post your drawing here if you want https://community.wanikani.com/t/daily-sketch-group-traditional/37454/503

Just posting it here in case.

Anyway I hope to see you all for the next book.

I do. It’s very spoilery to say anything about it, but it’s a great little thing. I didn’t know they had it in its own book though (the IF is included as a side chapter in the main series, we’re gonna reach it at some point), it looks amazing.

BTW, from the tag it seems this is the price of the whole collection of whatever this is a part of? Can’t be for just this book.

And I see you bought the 短編集 collection. I really really am tempted, but I already have lots to read as it is XD

I miss it `:(

The only thing in the glass from Re Zero was the book. I haven’t seen anything concerning something else. Although I just Re read the tag and it does seems to have more thing than just one book.

If you knew how many japanese book I have but haven’t read. I’d say about 20. Without counting all the audiobook I have. Althought the reason i’m buying a lot of them is because I’m in Japan. I will prob stop when I go back.

How cute. I have like a 100, not exaggerating :joy:
And this is with incurring the shipping expenses all the way to my country. I don’t know how many I would have bought had I lived in Japan. Fortunately, I stopped piling up recently, and started to actually read what I have.

This is the only thing I can think about.
