Please allow us to skip kanji or words. Need this feature badly.

Skipping Content There is no way to speed up or skip content on WaniKani.

You always have the option of using a different service that gives you free reign over what you learn and so on. But on WK you can’t skip content, no.

I wish I could skip certain words too, but it would probably be abused and would definitely undermine the entire system. So don’t hold your breath.

And in the end, there is no such thing as unnecessary knowledge, especially when it comes to language. Also if you already know words from somewhere, it should take little effort to guru them.

What other service is similar but allows a skip? I need to make the switch.

More traditional flashcard based systems, for example you can use Anki or if you don’t like Anki there’s Kitsun (subscription fee though there’s a short free trial) which has kanji and vocab decks.
