Looking at the polls on this club from a few years ago, 57 said they would participate and there were 3 people left on week 3, so clearly something went wrong somewhere.
I wonder if the Beginner Book Club might be interested in giving it a try. It seems like it would be at the high end of the difficulty range for that club but I think I’ve seen them read level 26 manga before.
Otherwise there’s the Intermediate Manga Club where this could fit, but so far I feel like “basic” shounen stuff doesn’t fare too well there. We did do Full Metal Alchemist so there’s still a chance.
Alternatively you can start your own thread and try to recruit people but as you see by this thread it can be a bit tricky to find people who will stick with it, especially for these very popular series that will draw plenty of beginners who will feel overwhelmed and drop off immediately.
