HomeToday I started a new anime - Shirobako! It’s another one of my favourite anime, but definitely up at the harder end of the scale. There’s a decent amount of real world stuff, and a decent amount of english loan words among the animation loan words, however, I find the director’s explanations of what he wants kind of hard to follow. That’s sort of intended to a level, but based on times, since the director is supposed to be at expressing himself, but probably not to this extent.

I FINALLY TOOK THE PLUNGE. I have begun my Japanese watch through of MIU404!!! I LOVE this show, and I’ve seen it twice in English (well, JP audio with Eng subs), and want to keep rewatching it haha. It is SO SO so good, the story is awesome, the soundtrack is fun (and the main theme, 関電 by 米津玄師, is SUCH a peak song), the acting is really great, the two main leads are wonderful (星野源, my love 
), EVERYTHING is so good and I love it. So I have always thought I wanted to immerse and study Japanese with it, but I finally started yesterday! I listened to episode one without subs, and without pausing. I may be too generous if I say comprehension was at even 50% 
But it was the very first episode, so getting used to their (FAST) speech and all the words specific to the MIU job and everything might have contributed to that. But I’m planning on using this show to rewatch the episodes multiple multiple times. I love it so much that I’ll enjoy doing it, and hopefully it’ll really boost my listening! Even from the first episode, there’s already a lot of lines/dialogue I remember before they even say it, so already knowing the story will help a lot too I think. Ahhh I’m really looking forward to watching more 
I highly reccomend the show, even if you watch it with your native language subtitles!!!
sub. If I know the vocab, it’s not really too fast, but I sometimes don’t. Easier than some YouTube, anyway. About half EP / 20 min. Free and with ads, unlike Netflix.
