Today was 3 more episodes of Zombie Land Saga. That was Lily’s second episode, Tae’s adventures in town, and Mayuri MaiMai’s guest appearence.
This also lines things up nicely so I can watch the サガ事変 in one go even if I just watch two episodes. I’m really curious as to if the speech is old fashioned at all there.
Also while reviewing the reddit thread for episode 7 from when it aired, someone pointed out that Hololive has a cover of the Saga Jihen song.
Watched 名探偵コナン ep 262 yesterday and 263 today. 262 was about average in terms of understanding. 263 was hard - probably 40% or less understanding. So much Kansai-ben! Not to mention it was a ‘2-hour special’. It was a fun episode even when I wasn’t able to pick up on so much of the dialog, but my brain hurts now…
日中バイリンガルへの道 #243 guest talk, i.e. almost totally Chinese interview. Not fast and I might understand somewhere around 60%, but vocab is probably the limit.
Today I watched 3 episodes including Saga Jihen, and the lead in to the finale.
If you need a reason to watch Zombie Land Saga, and don’t mind spoilers, the following screenshotd str probably best to illustrate the show’s surprising range
Like the fact that you managed to fit a…actual quite good historical setting story into a zombie idol comedy is part of why I love this show, and why I’d been hyping up the Saga Jihen for the whole part.
Anyway, I was worried about the language being difficult in this part, but even in this flashback sequence, Yugiri was still the most difficult.
As for the other episode, you can tell we’re in the end game when Kotaro has basically abandoned the act.
Though the fact that this counts as a chill, not overacting Kotaro, lol
I watched one 名探偵コナン ep each, yesterday and today, so 264 and 265, and understood about my 60% or so.
I also decided that for February I’m going to try to do something other then watching コナン. So I’m starting a rewatch of Digimon Adventure 01 and 02. After watching the prequel movie yesterday and ep 1 today, I’m now also excited for the daily confidence boost - I was able to understand well over 90% of both!
