For this challenge, Iβm going to be categorizing my listening time a little bit differently than I did during my 100 hour challenge:
- Intensive Listening - Stuff Iβm actually transcribing/translating, paying extremely close attention to exactly what is being said. This also includes things that I am watching with subtitles and pausing regularly to look up words or grammar. (Generally, anything that Iβm rewinding to re-listen to things regularly is Intensive)
- Extensive Active Listening - Things that I am watching for entertainment, but paying attention to fully or mostly fully. Watching streamers play games, but still focused and looking up words, trying to comprehend enough to make things interesting. (Pausing, but generally not rewinding)
- Passive Listening - Still listening for entertainment and a little bit of comprehension, but not worrying about looking up words at all. Usually this is stuff that I put on to casually watch as Iβm falling asleep at night. (No Pausing at all, attention fading in and out)
I do also watch shows with english subs sometimes with friends, and I am trying to pay attention to the japanese while we do this, but I wonβt be counting those for my log or for the challenge.
For today, I watched the first regular mio stream since her return. Highlight was definitely her talking about how fubuki had been so reserved since she was in the hospital, but as soon as mio was home and feeling up to seeing people, she started acting almost like a little puppy running figure 8s around her feet with excitement (fan art depiction). Her schedule is still pretty light, but she will be back to playing persona 3 later this week
