Learn Japanese with Noriko 78 (~8 min): Noriko talked about ゆるく生きる, which was quite interesting considering other slow living tendencies emerging worldwide
世界の最新ニュースDaily brief (~5 min)
Tobira: about 10 min of listening. Current chapter’s topic is Japanese history, so it’s a bit tricky to follow at times, but I always listen a second time while reading.
YUYU 224 (~34 min): Yuyu was mentioning how he gained weight during his time home in Japan, and talked about the food culture and also reasons why Japanese people generally are thin (both cultural and food-related). It was particularly interesting to hear as I was making dinner in the meantime.
マグロ解体ショー (~20 min): a bit random, but I watched this video of a fishmonger dismembering a tuna, which was linked in this week’s thread for the 本好きの下剋上 book club in Natively. It was quite educational 
and the guy was fun, too.
And had some additional fun watching 4 episodes of FMA.

First a vlog video from Japanese with Naoko about おいしいパン
I understood this one pretty well I think. Even the shop staff were pretty understandable!
The second was a short video from Speak Japanese Naturally about みみ-idioms
Out of all of them I think I’ve heard 耳が痛い and 初耳 used before

YUYU 225 (~35): an interesting episode about the place he lived in as soon as he moved to Mexico - it was quite an entertaining story!
Akane (~10 min): listened to a couple of podcasts that were on random, on subjects such as books and living alone.
And the number of episodes of FMA went up to 6 today, but I don’t think we’ll be able to keep such an intense rhythm
October 11th!
Just a little listen today as I had a busy day of work, went straight out afterwards and then wasn’t home until late!
I watched the 19th video in Nihongo no Mori’s JLPT N3 vocab series.

日本語の森 JLPT N3 言葉プレイリスト (~7:00)
Took inspiration to listen to these from @lucylavelle! I usually avoid JLPT prep / grammar videos for listening practice because a lot of them are mostly in English (sorry, ゲーム言語…), but nihongo no mori is entirely in Japanese and I really love their teaching style.
I watched a bit of their vocabulary playlist but I think I will switch to grammar next time to get good exposure to both (ᵔ◡ᵔ) if you’re studying for N3-N1, give them a listen! The explanations are very much the same way of teaching that an in-person class has.

日本語の森 Vlog (from notification), Miku Vlog (from someone posted before), and Miku-YUYU collab (from accidently clicking). All have sub, but I didn’t look much. Looking is looking, anyway. Having JP sub considered helpful once in a while.

Haven’t updated in a bit because I either haven’t been watching much outside the grammar videos or haven’t been watching anything that interesting, but today was a real fun one:
Mio playing 漢字でGO！It’s a kanji reading quiz game, and there’s lots of real wonky words but it gives a definition right on the screen even when you guess right. I’d love to try this game out but I would fail very quickly 
Might be a fun way to pick up some real left field words though. Personal favorite was 伏魔殿
日本語の森 is great!

Watched more デキる猫は今日も憂鬱 yesterday; still very cute. 
I got around to some more listening prep for the JLPT by watching some grammar explanation videos from 日本語の森. Not exactly the type of listening practice I was hoping to do, but I also woke up in the middle of the night and could not fall asleep, so the fact that I got anything productive done today is a bit of a miracle. 
Thanks for sharing! I hadn’t really had any desire to try listening to JLPT prep material, but I gave their N3 grammar videos a try just to see how I fared listening-comprehension-wise, and I actually understood really well without even having to pause to catch stuff, so that’s a great sign, haha!
Listening comprehension without subtitles is still a struggle, though…

After I finished her Unpacking let’s-play video I really wanted to find another Occho video to watch! Her personality is bubbly and funny, so I’m glad she has more playthroughs. This one is for a new Kirby game, a franchise that I find cute though not super interesting, but there is a significant post-apocalypse vibe to this game despite being very bright and adorable?? Obsessed with that. There’s a part where Kirby can, like, suck up a car to gain vehicle powers (idk what the verbiage is here lmaooo) but somehow the image of him being car-shaped had me DYING, his eyes on the grille and his feet flopping at the back, and Occho is like “Nintendo, WHY?!”

日本語の森 JLPT N3 言葉プレイリスト (4:27)
Good morning! I have a busy day today and I’ll probably run out of time later for listening practice, so I watched another 日本語の森 kotoba video bright and early. The content of this video was very easy but listening practice is listening practice! It looks like it’ll be a sunny and chilly day today (my favorite). Enjoy your weekend, everyone! ^–^

This is why I’ve been enjoying these videos so much recently. Listening is by far my weakest skill, but vocab is my strong point - so knowing the kanji/vocab that is being explained is helping a lot with my comprehension and I’m hoping that its helping me connect the the sound of the words to the meanings that I know.
I guess we’ll find out how successful it was when I get my results after the December exam.
