I did quite a bit of listening today - First a lesson with my tutor, then a mock JLPT test, and then an episode of はじめておつかい with my daughter.

Managed to listen to Comprehensible Japanese as planned before real life commitments came into play.
Had the very pleasant realization that I recognized most of the unknown Kanji from the audio and not the other way around. Usually I use the subtitles to help me figure out what is said, but this time I knew what was said and learned some new Kanji instead. Especially great because the videos are gradually getting more difficult.

Watched a new Shun’s YT video this morning where he goes around Osaka and Osaka castle. What was nice about this was that he repeatedly used 探す, that I’d learnt yesterday from Pokemon, to talk about how he’s looking for a new apartment. One of those little happy coincidence moments ha.
Also picked up お城 for castle, and ぶらぶらする, to wander around

Sayuri (Everyday Japanese Podcast) 190, 182 and 183 (27 min total). One episode was about Muscle bars, which I had heard about, but was still interesting to hear other people’s experience. The other one was on Depa-chika and the dishes she likes to order, and the last one was on ら抜き, which was gramatically quite interesting.

Just listened to this from Yuyu! I think these are new, and I love that he has versions from N5-N1. I definitely think I’ll check out his Patreon - really hope he makes more of this type of content!

November 24th!
I had a lesson with my tutor today. We did some exam style listening questions and she gave me some tips on taking notes during the questions where you need to listen to a longer passage.
We also chatted about my husband’s recent trip to Finland, and my travel plans for the JLPT next weekend.

Back to my home post
A very busy week with the additional complications of my meds needing to be adjusted. In the face of that I only missed one day of listening this week! I think I can keep this up till the end of the challenge and maybe even the end of this year at this rate.
I think I’ve somehow arrived at a point where listening is slightly easier than reading, stamina wise. Feels weird considering I’m more interested in written Japanese.

November 26th!
A lesson with my tutor today. We talked about my plans for next weekend, as I’m travelling back to my hometown for the JLPT so I’m planning to visit friends and family while I’m there. We also talked about some of the manga I’ve been reading recently.
