Maybe do some kanji on Anki? Then when you do can afford the membership you’ll have an easier time on wanikani!

I have Anki, I haven’t figured out how to use it yet, but will look into it again. I have also restarted Heisig periodically over the last twenty years. I am enjoying the reminders to work that come with WaniKani!

Don’t know exactly how, but you’re 4th level now, just like that :smiley:
Try log-out and log-in back into forums and see if your level numbers will be colored like paid/lifetime, I don’t know other way for others to know someone’s subscription status.
Cuz even if you’re higher level, if you not have active subscription, you won’t be able to learn and review >03 materials, so you should have not just level up, but subscription.

There is kinda secret gifting option on WK, so it might be someone gifted it to you, but since it’s more like personal admin interaction, it might not have any notification for recepient

Ah yeah, at very least there will be “you got subscription now” mail, forgot about that.

No, not me, i just assumed, since that would be mostlikely what happened, well besides some glitch, but i don’t think WK would have something like that.
I had to save up money to buy my own sub, haha

 At the moment I’m just ploughing ahead in case it doesn’t last. Luckily there are a lot of ichinensei kanji in level 4 so it is going quite quickly. Lots of love to whoever gifted me. I actually left Japan with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia with no health insurance in my home country, so this gift is super special!
I made to post to find out if there was anyone out there just working on burning everything on the first three levels
 It was fun and I was kind of wondering if there was an endurance prize for getting there!

Thank you for the information. I don’t see any email but my level on my profile says 4 in a light pink colour. And when I hover over it it says “Level 4 Free”???
However this happened, it has put a shine on 2019!
