I'm almost done with the free WaniKani trial!

I’m currently at Level 3. I want to move on. This website is so fun! I have really learned the kanji with the mnemonics. I just am having the best time! I am going to buy a subscription to keep going. This website is a blast!

Welcome!
If you are aiming for a lifetime plan, go for yearly now and at Christmas/ New Year upgrade to lifetime at a serious discount, plus the amount that will be deducted from the initial subscription.

+1 on lifetime. After a hiatus of ~3 years of not doing much Japanese studying/reading, I’ve found that I’ve forgotten many of the “higher level” Kanji taught here and am glad that I have the lifetime subscription such that I can reset whenever I want to re-learn everything.

I second the lifetime as well.

Might I recommend MaruMori instead? It was created by people that did WK, and thought they could improve on a few things. People that are active on this community, MaruMori has a thread here (MaruMori.io & Kitsun.io - [UPDATE: Mobile Apps Beta!] - Grammar SRS, Grammar Lessons, Reading Exercises, Vocabulary, Kanji and more!). There are a variety of opinions on which one is better, but I did the MaruMori trial and liked it, I’ll buy lifetime at their next sale probably. The link is marumori.io

Best of luck with your studies!

I don’t second Lifetime yet, but I second Yearly, think later whether to lifetime on Christmas. Look around the forum to find people who regretted lifetime.

If you like WK, try to make it al least 1 year, but say, in 3 or 5 years, don’t let WaniKani limit you.
