I was doing my reviews and I gurued about half of my radicals (the other half should be coming in a few hours), but then something strange happened. Half of the second batch of kanji unlocked. I’ll share a screenshot here, but does anyone know why that happened? Or is it just a bug or something?
Didn’t you just guru some radicals? Which unlocks kanji?
Yeah, I was just confused because as far as I know that’s not 90% of the radicals (unless my math is totally off), and it only unlocked half of the second batch of kanji instead of all of them like it usually does. But I’m most likely just misunderstanding something so you’re probably right.
Each kanji is unlocked immediately when you guru its components. The 90% thing is only for levelling up

Forgive me, this is probably yet another stupid question, but why did all the other levels (at least the last few that I can remember, I honestly don’t know about the first 7 or 8) have kanji coming in only two batches when they should be unlocking as I guru the radicals? It might be because I gurued the radicals mostly all at once but I really don’t know.
Probably because just as you said, you guru’d the radicals all together, unlocking all the next kanji together.
I think there also may be cases where radicals you learn in one level maybe not show up in kanji until later… (or was that only vocab?)

I need to stop letting it get so low 
The first batch are Kanji for radicals you guru’ed previously. Those unlock immediately at level up.
The next batch is Kanji for the radicals in the current level. Usually all of them at once if you do all the radicals in one lesson.
