病人を苦しめたい means you want to hurt or harass sick people… So… I hope it wasn’t what you meant.

It was but I don’t really mean it like that exactly, I just don’t know how to narrow it down and specify deeper yet x~x
Is there a particular reason you want to hurt sick people…?
I didn’t really mean for people to get concerned, so I’ll type things out a little and hope. I didn’t want to write things that could get political… not that I know how to write it anyways. Basically I’m upset because of the careless sick people spreading covid around. I had to sell valuables after it got my job shut down, and then recently a friend who tried to stay inside and avoid it best they could died to it, and now the hospital is telling me they won’t be able to give me the care I need for a few months since it isn’t life threatening because it’s full of primarily covid patients, and I know most of those patients are the unvaccinated people running around unmasked and selfishly which is sadly a bit over 1/3 of people here. I don’t really plan to hurt anyone but I was made quite angry right before study time time knowing they are further worsening things for those around, and I’m finding myself more personally effected as well as time goes on.

A couple of minor things if it’s okay with you 
- 味 is a noun, so you link it with よう via の - 味のような
- よう is rarely spelled in kanji
- the syntax is a little strange, it’s like saying “a pencil that resembles the taste of banana bread”
To match the translation it would be something like this:
バナナパンのような味がある鉛筆だ。
バナナパンのような味をした鉛筆だ。
Hmmm I guess one could go a little further and alternatively replace のような with らしい or みたいな 
.

Today despite being a little cold, the weather is beautiful. The cathedral, meadow and also my room are illumined by the warm sunlight. That’s why after waking up vigorously, without fooling around I started studying while listening to music.

Of course, it’s okay. I appreciate the feedback. As I said I wasn’t certain about it at all. I used 味 in that way because yomichan showed it as a viable na-adjective variaton with the flavour/taste meaning—which is why I’ve got the wack syntax going on. So I’m not sure what the deal is now . But what you’ve said makes complete sense. Thank you!

もうすぐ１１月ですね。日本語の勉強を始めたからあっという間に二年経った。 
なんか不思議な感じですよね。二年前全く知らなかったこの言語で今僕がこのように書いている。どんな話を聞いてもだいたい分かる。辞書を使わず読むこともできる。まだ下手だけど少しだけ喋るようにもなった。
でもこれ以上日本語能力を増やすためにどんな道が良いとよくわからない。中級から上級まで歩むべき道が曖昧。そして長い時間が必要だと思います。でも続くしかないですね。

Well, technically Yomichan wasn’t wrong: 味な - Jisho.org
But I guess we’re not going here for “smart as banana bread” 
友達はバナナパンほど味な人だ。つまり頭が全然よくないよ。
or
友達はバナナパンのように味な人だ。つまり頭が全然よくないよ。
My friend is as clever as banana bread. Meaning, he’s not smart at all!
I checked a couple of other dictionaries, but the closest I found was 味 used in adjectives like 美味 (delicate flavor, delicacy). All other uses treated 味 as a noun.

According to shinmeikai, 味な is different word with the definition 気の利いた。ちょっとしゃれた。Which as you said roughly translated to having the smarts of.
But according to Daijirin, 味な is 〔形動「あじ（味）」の連体形 aka the なーadjective form… 
My guess is long time ago it was used as the なーadjective form but it eventually just came to be used for just the specific meaning of “smarts”.
Anyways I’ve never come across it. As you said it’s always 味の。
