For a little while I wasn’t able to do wanikani. By the time I got back I had 1585 reviews… It took about 2 months for me to wittle it down to 0. Every time im almost done with them something happened. (The internet not working for a few days, monitor going out, life stuff ). Im finally done. I SWEAR to myself, I will Never let it get to that again. I was so happy I took a screenshot even though my correct percentage sucks.
Congrats! I know how stressful and draining that can be. Good job and keep it up!
Congrats, I spent all of yesterday doing my backlog of 700 reviews … so I kinda feel your pain! I had a similar correct percentage too, and I had fewer to do, so well done!
same here, took 2 months to solve…
Congrats.
I recently came back to 2,700+ reviews, with very similar accuracy.
And here I was thinking 150 reviews after a plane flight was a lot! I’ll definitely make sure to do my reviews every day. Good work!
Glad our neglect and lack of motivation and work ethic could inspire you to be consistent. My work here is done. dusts hands off
Congratulations
I fear my reviews ever getting that high… I don’t know if I’d have the motivation to get through them all… well done!
I think you deserve a t-shirt from Koichi just for this.
Having been there myself, I know what a struggle it can be. Congratulations and may you never have to feel the same pain again!
Good job dude !
Seeing those posts makes me even more determined to never skip WK for even a day, EVEN IF THE WORLD IS GOING IN ASHES, I WILL DO REVIEWS !
Coming from someone who used to do like 20 reviews every hour or so, set specific study times, then use some sort of forecast (I think there’s user scripts for it, but it’s built into the phone app I use) to see how many you’ll be doing for the next study session, if it seems low to you, you can add some new lessons. At least that’s how I do it after I burned out the first time.
Hope this helps.
And remember, if it gets to be too many reviews, just don’t do lessons for a few days to kind of reset how many reviews you get / amount of time.
Congrats on your persistence to clear those reviews! At one point I was at level 20+, didn’t check the site for months and ended up with like 3000 or more reviews. I couldn’t take it and reset to level 1. Now I am more systematic.
I’m still battling the 4000 reviews I let pile up after my latest hiatus. It’s all good.
I’ve got 279 reviews from over the weekend (because I was preoccupied with… very important stuff) and I thought that was a lot!
I admire your tenacity! I had to restart after I had ~650 reviews stuck for a few months.
Still kind of new to Wanikani (Level 3). Is this what the vacation setting is for? So that they don’t pile up if you take a break?
That is correct.
