Also interested for sure, picked up WK, Japanese in general and Genki 1 not too long ago, having a group would definitely help motivation as well

It will be good to practice typing with a Japanese keyboard plugin as I’ve only just started using it. Might take ages to get the hang of, but will be really cool to actually 用いる kanji…

I was just browsing the WK forum in search for feedback on learning Japanese with Genki, when I stumbled across this wonderful post
So far I’ve only had one course with a native teacher in which we used Marugoto, which for this purpose was fine, but the book is not really a good fit for self-studying.
Therefore, I’m thinking about aquiring Genki and was wondering if you would recommend also buying the workbook?
Anyway, I’ll be glad to join the conversation once I’ve started studying with Genki

If you guys still have room I’d be delighted to join! I have been having a hard time studying genki by myself only on chapter 3 but really I can’t seem to remember the vocab for the life of me. Plus I feel weird talking to myself.
