For non-English students...?

Spanish speaker here.
I use mainly the suggested mnemonics and english translations (as there is an intern logic to it) but sometimes I add a spanish translation or use a spanish mnemonic that fits better.

For example, before and after has always been confusing for me, i guess because after sounds like antes which is before in spanish, and I realised I was translating that confusion to japanese, so I changed all the afters and befores to spanish.

Me too. I don’t want to have to think in Italian, translate into Japanese and then into English. it’s an extra step that I honestly don’t need:,)
