You should rename this thread to “Chatty thread”
maybe I should call this a chatty reply too? :joy:
Accounting is something I should learn a bit about. Entrepreneurship will be something I do on the side eventually. You always hear it is super boring, but surely that isn’t true for every accountant? Do you enjoy it? If so why?
Maybe I’ll find it interesting too.
I can personally vouch for Stockholm and Visby. (Grew up in Sthlm and lived for a year in Visby.) I do believe I’ve been to Kalmar once but only saw a bit of the harbor and one museum there (a friend let me go with her on her family’s sailing vacation). That was nice though.
I’ve been to Uppsala a few times but went to visit a friend and we mainly hung out talking so didn’t see much of the place. Not sure I have ever been to Norrköping and I know I haven’t been to Kiruna.
There are a few other places I could recommend depending on what you are interested in. And obviously you should ping me if it becomes a reality.
a "joyful" ;) reply to chatty with MissDagger
It isn’t really but then again some things that interest me don’t really interest most people. Not to say I am not interested with what they are interested in, just that a lot of things interest me and they run the gamut of things. A better way to say it is that I just have a wide range of things/topics that interest me, I guess.
I think what makes it interesting for me is the analysis of where things should go. You need to be able to “account” where certain and relevant things should go. Then there is also the satisfaction of tracking if a you are headed in the right direction or if you are falling off the cliff faster than you can salvage it.
Wow! So it seems the list on my head of which cities to visit is not that out there then.
Honestly, I just had Kalmar on the list because I encountered the Kalmar Union several times before. Just being a nerd and wondering what it looks like for something that important in history. Uppsala because there is a famous university there, and then Kiruna for the Aurora Borealis I guess? Funnily enough, I had Norrkoping on that list despite only having Jonkoping and Linkoping in ETS 2 (the truck game). Also, I forgot about Malmo. I am trying to remember off the top of my head why that is so but I am drawing a blank at the moment. I do know it was on my list for a reason hahaha. I really should write these things down…
I just want to see other countries. And Sweden in particular, but that story is a personal one and I will tell you once I do visit. And yes of course I will be letting you know for sure. I mean, what a travesty it would be if I do visit and then not inform you right?
By the way, do you have Discord by any chance? I guess maybe we can continue our conversation without having it on WK Forums?
Accidentally clicked on this and happened to see some curious locations…
Stockholm is fun. The city itself isn’t that big, compared to other capitals around the world, so it’s easy enough to get out of it and see some nature, if you want. Like many other coastal cities it’s built on an archipelago, so there’s a lot of islands around.
My dad moved to Uppsala, and he loves it. It’s a fairly small city, and I am not really sure what there is to do there, lol. It’s just an hour by train from Stockholm, so getting there is very easy if you’re already in the capital.
My spouse and I took a trip to Björkliden, which is right by Kiruna, to see the northern lights before I moved to the US. We didn’t go to the city at all, we stayed at the ski cabin (though we never hit the slopes), but it was a wonderful place as far as nature goes. There seems to be a lot of fun activities you can do in the area, too, such as dogsled riding. The original ice hotel is there, too.

chatty with the Kumi!
Kumi!
We’re not worthy, we’re not worthy!
Kidding aside, thank you for the input! As mentioned, I only culled those places from memory so I am trying to patch together why they were on the list.
How many days do you say is a good Sweden trip if you want a general sense of enjoyment of what the country has to offer? Also, that ski cabin sounds nice as I actually do enjoy skiing!
2024 still on a roll! 6900 when?
I went over by 2!
998 before 7000!!!
Wait, what is a golden burn? Mine are all black :0
Henlo
There are userscripts that you can install. For the image I posted, I used two scripts created by @Kumirei. The first one changes the black background for burns to gold. The second one adds a Kanna image to the burn background.
You can look here for more information on how to do this:
For the specific userscripts, I have pasted them below:
Hope this helps you!
As you may have noticed Golden Burn is by rfindley
Well I can’t ninja edit anymore. Besides Kanna definitely completes the look eh?
Definitely. I can’t believe it’s already been seven years since that show aired
I have yet to see it! It is on my, rather long, list though!
