Hey guy, I was thinking about just as title says. Recently starting to get into grammar and listening so something easy and real beginner, it could be a show for baby’s, I dont mind lol. Or even shows that are basically youtube tutorials.
I generally listen to podcasts while on the move, but some are available as videos on YouTube too. I’m putting a link here to the podcast masterlist which has everything from beginner through to native-level podcasts
I’m gonna challenge your framing and suggest that instead you try to watch something you want to watch. That will make it way easier than the level of the language would.
For me I watched the same episode of Death Note until I got sick of it, and by the end I was comprehending a bunch more than I did at the start. Currently I’m doing the same thing but with Chainsaw Man… except I didn’t really like some of the events in Episode 7 and lo and behold, I got back to Episode 7 a couple days ago and I’m watching other stuff for a bit… I might even skip over it xD
I do recognize that problem. Sadly for me it usually ends the way you describe. I stop watching/reading, feel the need to start again a year or two later and stop at the same position. Some episodes/chapters/arcs just suck all the fun out of series.
If you purely want to focus on listening, I love to watch Bluey with Japanese audio on disney+. They have a lot of stuff with Japanese audio so I would also recommend the star wars shows too (I’m not a SW fan, but the shows are easy enough to follow).
Just a warning, the Japanese subtitles on the app are translating the English audio so they dont match up with the spoken Japanese audio
