Japanese Poscasts

Hey everyone!

I have been learning on and off for a while now, and I feel like I’m at the point where the best way to continue learning might be to start listening to other people talking naturally. So, with that in mind, I would love to hear your suggestions - what do you listen to? what do you recommend?

Any answers would be greatly appreciated!

When I got started with podcasts, I started with the classic Nihongo con Teppei, and then Miku Real Japanese. For the latter, I would listen to the same episode on repeat during my drives to work, with the speed at 0.7x and gradually increasing as I felt I understood it more.

My absolute favorite podcast now is Japanese with Teppei and Noriko. They are so fun to listen to!

Good luck on your listening journey, and have fun!!

I agree with Shin. There is also Japanese with Shun for beginners but Nihongo con Teppei for beginners is at the level where you will feel proud of yourself because you will be making progress.

There’s a WK list of podcasts here:

I think Sayuri Saying Everyday Podcast and The Bite Size Japanese Podcast are also good podcasts to start with.

Thank you, I’ll go through that list as well and see if anything in particular catches my eye

I listen to zatsudan from my favorite Vtubers. The easiest one I have ever listened to was Takane Luis lunchtime streams so if you are interested in Vtubers and want a starting point, she would be my suggestion.
