I joined WaniKani maybe five years ago. I used it regularly for a year or so, and then stopped for a while, using it intermittently.
About two years ago I stopped completely, but forgot to cancel my subscription.
1 year ago I saw the charge on my credit card and tried to cancel my subscription. I couldn’t remember what email address I used. I tried logging in with every email address I have and nothing worked. Tried resetting password, got no emails.
Finally I tried contacting support. Got no response, and eventually forgot about it.
In January I noticed it in my credit card statement again, and went through the same process. Contacted support, no response, forgot again.
This week I went through the same process. This time I didn’t forget. I contacted support five days ago and have yet to receive a response.
When I think of the money I’ve wasted paying a monthly subscription for something I tried to cancel a year ago I get infuriated.
Why don’t you answer support emails? That’s outrageous. Why doesn’t the reset password email send? Fix your system. It didn’t arrive in any of my spam folders.
It’s pure thievery at this point. Did you choose not the answer the support emails because I specifically mentioned cancelling?
Now I’ve resorted to creating a new WaniKani account and posting here, hoping someone from the company will see it and finally get back to me.
Help. Please. You’re draining me dry.
