Aria the Masterpiece: Chapter 3 Discussion

I’m going to order the rest of series after we pick the next book for the club so I can order everything at once.

I can see I’m going to have to take a seriously large suitcase with me in October!

So who saw this line in the vocab sheet?

Vocab: 開店休業
Meaning: open, but transacting no business at all
Comment: There… there’s a word for this? Whoever wrote this comment, thumbs up

Yes that put a big smile on my face too!

And this one!

In case it’s not clear from the context, this is President Aria’s freaky meow Thank you for that clarification!!

It’s so much fun having people besides you and me fill out the vocab sheet!

I put that thank you in.
I just wish I could tell who is on the spreadsheet when I am, as I’d be happy to chat as I did it.
I guess I could just randomly try adding comments…

I think there’s a chat option now as well?
It probably does not work while anonymous, though.

Edit: well it’s indeed not available when I’m not signed in. Makes sense.

@seanblue Shouldn’t you be making us a Ch 4 thread? Pretty please?

Not to toot my own horn, but, ah, the non-italicised bits were me (toot:trumpet:)

I’ve never been entirely sure why these collaborative sheets always mark us as anonymous editors even when we’re logged in to Google Drive in other windows.

Strangely enough, I can see Sean on there… but everyone else is anonymous.

One time you and I did, early on in Kiki. They must have removed it.

That’s because I created it.

I’ll make it now.

They haven’t. In the general case, at least. From another spreadsheet I am collaborating on:
%E7%AF%84%E5%9B%B2%E3%82%92%E9%81%B8%E6%8A%9E_120

(It could be a setting, though)

I’m not sure what was different that other time then, when @Kyasurin and I were able to chat.

Chapter 4 is here

I think we just wrote stuff directly into the spreadsheet.
At least, the time I remember we did. Because I think we were the only 2 people using it. :joy:

It was much earlier in the book when we were chatting directly. It was anonymous, so I’m not 100% sure, but I thought I confirmed it was you at the time.

On page 98, what’s with the く at the end of 「これから夕飯作るけど食べてく?」?

It’s 食べていく innit? “Eat before you go”?

It’s definitely 食べてく in the book. I’ve never seen the い removed from ていく like it often is from ている, but I guess that could be it.

I was the thumbs up addition :see_no_evil:

cos I honestly laughed when I saw that comment, and the ‘thank you for that clarification!’
