@Naphthalene I finished chapter 6. I’d like to know who the 3.5 remaining girls you liked were, avoiding future spoilers of course.
I would need to check, but I think it was Hardcore Alice, Ripple and Snow White, in that order. I do like Tama to some extend, which is why she counts as 0.5
I remember liking Swim Swim in the anime, but so far I haven’t seen any reason to care about her character.
There are still so many sentences that I can’t even begin to make sense of. 
By the way @Naphthalene, how would you compare the difficulty of this book compared to Haruhi?
I always find it difficult to compare books like that, but I’d say it’s about the same, overall?
I’d say Haruhi contains harder sentences, but they tend to be much less frequent.
I was kinda surprised to see 滑稽 without furigana, but apparently 稽 is a 常用漢字, so…
Chapter 7 comments
Well, I was not expecting that. I have to admit though, it was a good plan. I just took it for granted that they found her somehow, but the explanation on the last page of the chapter makes perfect sense. Also, I am kind of glad that the “don’t reveal yourself to others” rule actually had real impact on the story. Even if the result was unfortunate.
Only 40 pages left now!
Summary
I found the way to hide the actual bunny pretty overkill, she could have just thrown it into a burning car or something. But yes, it was a good plan.

Where’s the furigana??
I remember I wondered the same thing for 苔, even though I learned that word through the “red nightmares” book I read with the intermediate book club. (Didn’t know the reading of 苔生すthough)
I have seen 蔦 a lot in various places, especially 新世界より and 蔦屋 (Tsutaya, the place where I rent DVD), so I’m less affected by this one 
I finished chapter 8. Thankfully the second half of this chapter was much easier than the first half.

I remembered from the anime that Tama killed someone in that way, but I didn’t remember who or when. But I did not at all remember what happened next. Poor Tama!

I’ve never played a game in Japanese, so I didn’t know the term was used outside of the HTML tags.
Well I’m done! I liked the book overall and I was happy with the ending. But it was hard!! If コンビニ人間 could be considered a comfortable +1 or +2 difficulty for me, this must have been a +10. I had to look up words left and right, and even after doing that I often couldn’t figure out the meaning of a sentence. I finished the book in two months, which is record time for me. Hopefully I can build from this and read things even more quickly going forward.
I definitely plan to read books two and three of the series at some point (it’s a 前・後 pair), but not any time soon. I definitely need to improve my reading ability before I read any more of this series. Though being me, I’ll probably still buy the two books soon and just let them sit on my shelf until I’m ready.
