As someone who’s already read the whole thing, yeah, the tournament arc was a disappointment to me also. In any series, frankly - tournament arcs just scream “the author has no idea where the story’s going from here, so we’re just gonna hit the big ol’ pause button for a volume or two”. It does give a couple of nice moments for Frieren and Fern to shine, but, ya know, that’s kinda not what this series is. And it occupies most of the second half of the anime…

This chapter is going to come in at a lot more than 30 for me 
just when I thought it was getting easier. It’s like the difficulty just doubled for Ch 37. I’m glad we have the break week so I can get through this chapter before we start volume 5.

It seems that 鎌 is sickle, while 大鎌 is scythe, but what would you call a small 大鎌?
Also, scythe is a western thing.

鎖鎌 looks roughly like a small scythe. Japanese page describes it as 草刈り鎌 (grass mowing sickle).

Was this an excuse to have Stark and Fern have a cute dance together, maybe, am I upset about it, absolutely not.
I liked Stark being worried about the younger prince in case it was like his own situation then realising it wasn’t, that was nice for him.
Also that cover art image is GORGEOUS they looks so fancy in their ballroom outfits and Stark looking at Fern is cute and I very much like Frieren’s ponytail.

SEIN NOOO well kind of cause I’m not as attached to him as the others but STILL I liked how he actually acted like an adult in the group compared to Frieren who does a lot of random stupid stuff it was a fun dynamic. I assume he’ll come back later? or hopefully that elf dude.
Sorting out the argument was funny I liked that Frieren was like nope I’m not doing this, you speak to the children lmao

That was so sweeeeeet, I was kind of thinking Stark would hold her hand instead at some point but I guess they’re not there yet. I liked Frieren learning to be supportive

Also I could feel it in my bones creepy girl would end up with Fern, either Frieren or Fern is gonna destroy her I hope. I kind of want to know more about this mage’s guild Frieren got her necklace from, hopefully she elaborates or somebody does since that guy mentioned it. This test feels like wizards’ JLPT
Also, it feels like Frieren is brining up Himmel a lot more than before or is it just me. I’m enjoying the flashbacks anyhow
