Frieren vocab roots: there are many names that derive from German words. Here is a page that looks into those roots
Manga Kotoba has frequency-based vocabulary lists for all volumes (website by ChristopherFritz). A free account enables tracking and if you go to settings you can also sort words chronologically. You can ask questions about it here.

Thanks for reminding me! I meant to add a volume 2 tab. I’ve seen other clubs do that - or shall we do a new spreadsheet with a tab per week? I don’t have a strong opinion on that. Feel free to comment in addition to the vote
What is your preference for the volume 2 vocabulary spreadsheet
Continue the current (volume 1) spreadsheet and use 1 new tab for volume 2
Make a new spreadsheet and have 1 tab per week/chapter
I kind of dont mind if they are togethet or separeted but i dont want them to get lost and im afraid that they might get lost if we do them separate. I would like them to be all in one place
you can also save a copy of the spreadsheet to your own google drive if you want (or export to another spreadsheet program as well) if you are really worried about it being lost
though best to do that after the vol is complete and things are all filled in
The vote is currently tied with 3 for each type, so I’m thinking I’ll create a new spreadsheet for Volume 2 with a tab for each week. If it turns out to get well populated, then that will probably be easiest to use.
If it gets few additions we can consider dropping back to a new spreadsheet for remaining volumes, with 1 tab per volume.
Any objections to that plan?
I’ll update the links on the home threads to make it clear which spreadsheet belongs to which volume, so they will be easily identified on the home thread and the volume threads!
I created a new spreadsheet for volume 2. I added a sheet for the names/places (the katakana ones) as that is probably going to be more practical to keep on there than this thread:
What do you think about Eisen bowing out? I was wondering if the conversation about the length of the trip put him off, or if he thought it would be better for Fern to have the adventure with Frieren alone. I’m bad at reading between the lines
I was wondering if in this panel Eisen was saying " this one hundredth of your life changed you" referring to the 10 year adventure with Eisen and the others.
As for why he wouldn’t follow the two, he said something of being 足手まとい to them, a burden. Though something tells me Eisen still got that dog in him.
What Frieren is saying here really hits hard because it shows the contrast between what she thought of humans back then, and now that she took Fern with her. :")
