Is this an advertisement for rice, now?
I’m wondering if ビアホール was a deliberate sound shift to avoid the repetition of ビールホール, or whether it was introduced separately, maybe from an English speaker with a different accent. Like an Aussie. Or maybe it’s just that ビール comes from Dutch.
Why’s Sumire so confused by what Mother is saying on the final page? Did she lie to Mother when requesting the leave and actually she was planning to watch Kenta’s team play in the finals? Guess we’ll find out next week.

Oh, the wedding was real. She just forgot.
I realise that “stoic” is basically Kenta’s entire character (or possibly “the wheel’s still running but the hamster’s dead”), but I’d like to hope that he’d have some response to what is potentially a career-ending injury.

I’m not clear on how the flashback in this one connects to the modern-day story, except for the mild implication that Chibi-Kiyo is able to grab three plates by feel? I guess? It’s not hard to count three plates, though.

Is her Kyoto dialect less strong in this chapter, while she’s back in Aomori? It’s still there, certainly, but it doesn’t really feel as full-on as it’s been in recent chapters, though that could also be that she’s just not saying many things that vary by dialect.

Yeah, I guess it makes sense, being in your friend’s grandma’s house and expecting them to be there as well lol.
I think they do, they are originally for open air use even, I think, or at least that’s the setting I’ve mostly used them in
