Ah, good grief, let the girl eat, would you? Sumire doesn’t need any assistance at skipping meals. Plus, Kiyo has repeatedly been shown to have both telepathic and precognitive abilities - just ask her, and she’s certain to have the perfect thing ready to go.
Took me far too long to figure out what was going on with 炊飯ジャー. I was almost starting to think it might be the name for the new Super Sentai series.

Science time! Oil or petrol in puddles makes rainbow patterns because of thin-film interference. Basically, the oil forms a thin layer on top of the water in the puddle, and interference between sunlight reflecting off the top of the layer and sunlight reflecting off the bottom of the layer causes specific wavelengths of light (and therefore colours) to be reinforced, while cancelling out others. Since the wavelength that’s reinforced depends on the thickness of the layer, then the colour that you see changes depending on your viewing angle to each specific point in the puddle, which is why you get a rainbow and not just a single colour.
