Discussion Guidelines

Spoiler Courtesy

Please follow these rules to avoid inadvertent ネタバレ. If you’re unsure whether something should have a spoiler tag, err on the side of using one.

  1. Any potential spoiler for the current week’s reading need only be covered by a spoiler tag. Predictions and conjecture made by somebody who has not read ahead still falls into this category.
  2. Any potential spoilers for external sources need to be covered by a spoiler tag and include a label (outside of the spoiler tag) of what might be spoiled. These include but are not limited to: other book club picks, other books, games, movies, anime, etc. I recommend also tagging the severity of the spoiler (for example, I may still look at minor spoilers for something that I don’t intend to read soon).
  3. Any information from later in the book than the current week’s reading (including trigger warnings that haven’t yet manifested) needs to be hidden by spoiler tags and labeled as coming from later sections.
Instructions for Spoiler Tags

Click the cog above the text box and use either the “Hide Details” or “Blur Spoiler” options. The text which says “This text will be hidden” should be replaced with what you are wishing to write. In the case of “Hide Details”, the section in the brackets that is labelled “Summary” can be replaced with whatever you like also (i.e, [details=”Chapter 1, Pg. 1”]).

Hide Details results in the dropdown box like below:

Example

This is an example of the “Hide Details” option.

The “Blur Spoiler” option will simply blur the text it surrounds.

Man these girls’ names are so hard! I’m constantly flicking back to the character introductions to remind myself how to read them. And they speak in such a way that you don’t go more than a panel without someone’s name being used again!

It’s really easy when you think of it this way :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

藤川Future Girl

末延Rich 唯月Girl

万里小路Crazy Girl

蜂須賀Ninja 初野Girl

Fun chapter. Yuri transcends time and space apparently! (Ok I actually know this is pretty close to the historical development of yuri thanks to this history podcast i listened to once).

The text in the bookwalker version is ass, especially with some of 万里’s custom fonts, but at least most of it easily guessable.

I actually learned about the エス stuff from this manga. When I first read this chapter I was like “as much as I appreciate yuri manga this feels out of place in this time period”, but then I looked into it and realized this was very much a thing at that time!

Also, I like the bottom left panel on page 33. It was my inspiration for the “Crazy Girl” furigana since it gave off yandere vibes.

Not only that but you need to remember what 旭 means for the 陽太/月 joke…

Impressions

I really like the drama and humor brought by Asahi, it makes for fun interactions.

Last week I discovered that the book would have homosexual undertones, this week I discovered that it’s just tone really.

Haven’t quite finished this chapter yet, but I am wondering… why does Tsumugi refer to Itsuki 呼び捨て style while Itsuki still calls her Tsumugi-san? Did I miss something? Isn’t that a bit over-familiar or something?

I think it’s just an “everyone is different” kind of thing. Itsuki refers to her as Tsumugu-san, but even that is familiar for her since she calls Asahi by her last name. I’m not sure it’s worth thinking much about at this point.
