Guidelines When to add an entry If you are reasonably confident of the word itself and the appropriate translation for the context, go for it! If you are unsure of a word’s meaning, please feel free to add it, but highlight the row and write…
Please read the guidelines on the first page before adding any words.
Discussion Guidelines
Spoiler Courtesy
Please follow these rules to avoid inadvertent ネタバレ. If you’re unsure whether something should have a spoiler tag, err on the side of using one.
- Any potential spoiler for the current week’s reading need only be covered by a spoiler tag. Predictions and conjecture made by somebody who has not read ahead still falls into this category.
- Any potential spoilers for external sources need to be covered by a spoiler tag and include a label (outside of the spoiler tag) of what might be spoiled. These include but are not limited to: other book club picks, other books, games, movies, anime, etc. I recommend also tagging the severity of the spoiler (for example, I may still look at minor spoilers for something that I don’t intend to read soon).
- Any information from later in the book than the current week’s reading (including trigger warnings that haven’t yet manifested) needs to be hidden by spoiler tags and labeled as coming from later sections.

Posting Advice
- When asking for help, please mention the page number, and check before posting that your question hasn’t already been asked. As the threads get longer, it becomes more convenient to use the Search function, which is located in the upper right corner of the forum. It is the magnifying glass which is near your profile picture! The best way to search is usually to type part of the sentence you are confused about, and select “in this topic”. This will show you all posts within the current thread which has that string of text.
- Be sure to join the conversation! It’s fun, and it’s what keeps these book clubs lively! There’s no such thing as a stupid question! We are all learning here, and if the question has crossed your mind, there’s a very good chance it has crossed somebody else’s also! Asking and answering questions is a great learning opportunity for everyone involved, so never hesitate to do so!

So I have the paperback version and the alternative cover is so nice and like shockingly high quality I love it!

Not much to say, its a really solid chapter about Nozaki getting ideas for manga from his friends. Best parts are kleptomaniaChiyo and the high-spec mob characters!
90
PHENOMENAL HORIKASHI!!
Which is the cutest moment? I have a soft spot for the ice gag and Kashima just grabbing Hori!

Its all good! Glad people are still reading!

Banger of a chapter, the Ryosuke chapters rarely miss! All the panels @2OC3aOdKgwSGlxfz posted are gold, but my favorite by far is Ken’s complete shock panel at the end. I think that panel is perfect as a reaction panel even out of context lol
92
Solid with some nice little character moments for everyone, just a well rounded chapter. Not much to say!

Pretty fun stuff as always!
Ch 93
I think the most hilarious part was Nozaki walking around with a “safe childbirth” talisman
Ch 94
Nozaki pretending to be a teacher

As expected of Kashima
The misunderstandings are real
Gigantic Chiyo is hilarious!

I’m sorry, I know this is late :') But chapter 91 was too beautiful not to comment on
Chapter 91
This chapter was AWESOME HAHA. It was so funny but also gave me so much pain, the amount of times they don’t just sAY WHAT THEY MEAN
Just use human words instead of being vague lol
I also love that Nozaki just HAS that massive picture of Ken-san
When I read it I knew I needed to screenshot it
This poor man, he is a victim

Finished 93 & 94! (just in timee)
Chapter 93
Funne kids being stupid, its beautiful. And some actually sweet moments!!
YES, that was my favorite bit too
Chapter 94
The stupid hijinks continue, there were so many great character specific jokes! Mikoshiba getting taken down by Yuzuki being the thing to remind him to buy a gift for Mayu
And Mayu sending a novel of text about the move like the judo otaku he is haha. And then Kashima being all defensive if Nozaki is texting Hori, as if Nozaki isn’t texting his one true love, Ken-san
I must say, sometimes you understand Sakura (even if she is a Nozaki creep sometimes lol) because this was genuinely funny and adorable haha
Hope you’re feeling a bit better!

Last week for this volume!!
97 and 98
For me, 97 was solid, but I think I let a lot of my memory from the English version carry me through all of the manga jokes, was a little confusing in Japanese!
As for 98, THIS IS A TOP-TIER HORIKASHI THAT IN MY HUMBLE OPINION IS ULTIMATE PROOF THAT THESE TWO BELONG TO EACH OTHER!!! OMG STOP IT THEY ARE TOO WONDERFUL!!!
