心地 was an interesting word.
I want to know more about why the darkness thing. Seems like they taking their time.
I feel like the panels don’t have much dialogue right now so I go through them pretty fast.
I had the same feeling when I first read volume one, like “what kind of relationship are they heading towards?” But then Rei is quickly established as a caregiver, and I find it hard to ship caregivers with their long term patients. I also found it hard to clock Mira’s age, sometimes she looks like a young adult and sometimes she looks eight.
Oh, ok, that makes me feel better then. This first chapter felt a bit ambiguous to me and I couldn’t tell whether the manga was going to head towards a romance angle, which would be a bit weird with the caregiver relationship. Also this:
Yeah, she looks like a young adult to me sometimes, but then the way she acts is a bit young.
I lightened my load of bookclubs and decided to join this one!
It is pretty cute so far, and I definitely would label this as not shippable, it seems to me like a parent-daughter relationship for sure
I haven’t watched it, but from what I’ve heard the MC starts dating the child he adopted when he was 30 and she was 6.. I just tried to google if this was also in the anime adaptation or if it’s a manga only ending, but I’m too tired.
Woah. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the kanji version of なぜ before. I had to struggle a bit to look it up since I thought the reading would be different.
I looked through the other comments and I must agree that this reads a lot like a parental type of relationship.
Also, there are two points I have trouble with.
I’m not quite sure I understand the どれ on page 30. What does it mean? It doesn’t really feel like “which”.
