Haha. I wonder if he’ll only learn who she really is when the series is almost over, or if we’ll have time to witness them actually having conversations like this

彼は黙禱はせず、光舞う夜空を仰ぎ見る。

So… that friend is apparently dead. I wonder if we’ll learn of him later. Probably.

モニカはウズウズしながらフェリクスを見上げる。モニカはもう、ずっとずっと我慢していたのだ。
フェリクスはそんなモニカの気持ちを全て分かっているかのように柔らかく微笑み、頷いた。
「うん、実は僕も、君と同じことを考えてた」
寒い外から暖かな室内に戻った二人の頰は、ほんのりと紅潮していた。
二人は見つめ合い、そして──抱えていた本を掲げる。
モニカは父の本を、フェリクスは『ミネルヴァの泉』を。
「わたしっ、これ読んでもいいですかっ？」
「うん、僕も早くこれが読みたかったんだ」

フェリクスは勉強も運動も苦手だ。おまけに体が弱くてすぐに体調を崩すし、酷く内気で人前だと上手く話せない。
I really wonder what enabled him to do this total 180° turn towards his current self. It doesn’t really sound like something you could do just by working hard.
「その本を暖炉へ」
公爵に命じられるままフェリクスはテーブルの上の本を手に取り、暖炉の前に立った。
そして、震える手で大事な本を暖炉に放り込む。
I mean, it’s obviously not remotely the same, but there are a surprising number of parallels between Felix and Monica.
ふと自分の腹のあたりで何かがモゾモゾと動いた。モニカだ。

フェリクスは腹のあたりで丸くなっている少女の温い体を抱き寄せて、穏やかな気持ちで目を閉じた。
He’s cuddling with the drunken, sleeping Monica? While she’s in her underwear? 
「何故、〈星詠みの魔女〉殿は、〈星紡ぎのミラ〉をわざと盗ませたのでしょうか？」
Okay, yes, that would explain the sorry state of security in the church at that time.
And that was that. All in all, nice chapter, with Felix and Monica getting much closer! Not a fan of him taking advantage of her at the end, but him telling her about his obsessions was great, and it’s lovely that Monica good an unexpected keepsake from her father from Felix.
I’m looking forward to the epilogue and the secret episode. I think I remember them being pretty good in the last two volumes.
