Well, that was certainly… a chapter.
I looked up why Miyamura was still calling it a manicure on page 5 even though he was getting it on his feet, and today I learnt that マニキュア also refers to the nail polish itself. And also that マニキュアフィンガー is the name of Japanese grape variety, probably because it looks like this:
Took me far longer than it should have to figure out why Souta was complaining about the living room stinking of sinners.
We not gonna mention how Miyamura just put his wet toenails on Hori’s carpet?
What is with the trope of students being asked to carry stacks of paper longer than their forearms just loose around the school? I can count on the toes of one hand the number of times I was asked to do that at my school, or seen someone else do it. Generally it’s a sheaf of papers thin enough that you could hold it in one hand - if you’ve got a multi-ream stack, stick them in a box like a normal person.
Well, they make them do that to teach respect and to train them to carry the future of the country! for comedic effect when they drop them of course lol

Page 76, why do these bozos know Hori by her given name? Shindo told one of them her family name back in chapter 38, but I don’t recall her given name coming up…
I’m generally not enjoying the direction the plot is going, hope it changes soon.

I had a really bad browser crash that wiped out all my local storage, which meant I lost all my book club templates and data, and had to rebuild them. I copied a prior post to make a new template from. I’ll need to go update that template.
