The delivery of that “It’s mine” line is absolutely perfect in the anime.
Who’s this 溝内 guy? I have no memory of him. Though, the Horimiya Fandom wiki says this is his first appearence (though it numbers the chapter as 49, for some reason), which might have something to do with why I can’t remember him.

Sounds right to me. Just casually introducing a new character with no knowing if he’ll become a main character or never show up again.
