Aside from a single imagine bubble with Miyamura, neither Hori nor Miyamura appear in this chapter, even in the background.

Ok, uh… just how much , exactly, happened between pages 74 and 75? Because that certainly feels like a sudden jump in, uh… MPAA ratings.
Certainly enough that Souta noticed.
Now, everybody knows who the alpha dog in this story is.
Well, they are teens after all, but it’s true that it feels now like a lot has been happening offscreen that we haven’t been privy too haha

I think this chapter might be part of the reason why Shindo just rubs me the wrong way. He claims to be Miyamura’s friend, but is also friendly with bullies who think “you make me sick” is a perfectly normal thing to say to someone you haven’t seen for over a year. Makes Shindo feel a bit like a fair weather friend - the moment it becomes too socially inconvenient to associate with Miyamura, he’ll be gone.

This has to be the dumbest chapter.
Yet somehow also the funniest.
I felt like this chapter was revenge for anyone who commented about the prior chapter being short. “Here, this one’s longer. Enjoy!”
I’m unfamiliar with this series beyond what we’ve read, so I don’t know how closely it follows the source material, but Horimiya has very disjointed pacing. It does leave me curious about where things will ultimately end up.
