We get a proper save point next week, and then the week after that is side quest week which I am VERY exited for. And then we have our last week and we’re done!

Got a nice view on the pendant again in all those flashbacks. Both Elly wearing it, and the pattern on the carpet.

So, somehow, it went Sofia → Karen → Fei → Elly? Now we know how Fei got it, but still not clear on how the first transaction could have happened :thinking:

Week 33

The explanations are really coming in full force now!

I’m a bit confused as to why Zohar is out in the middle of nowhere like this. Since it’s an important component of Deus, shouldn’t ミャン have collected it or something by now? Also, why does Id have to go there and do this odd incubation thing, if he’s already the contact/接触者? I’m not sure if I missed something in the dialogue (I was reading for the summer solstice readathon and probably going a little faster than I should’ve) or if we haven’t been given direct answers yet. It’s hard to tell with this game, sometimes. Often, even :sweat_smile:

Anyway, Fei is finally putting himself back together! All it took was getting those two kids to share. It’s also kind of amazing to me that ID can fight and hold a conversation with wiseman while also doing this internal monologue with the other Feis. But then again, he’s connected to a fourth dimensional being so all that could be small beans for him, aha.

Nice! Now the next question is why the heck was he hiding it all this time? :eyes:

I was more shocked to see Elly’s old team than Dan :joy: I like the way he turns a corner here, showing that he can’t stomach revenge even though he’s not the one to actually hurt Fei in this case. It was also a great way to start off this whole sequence that eventually leads to Fei becoming whole, I think.

I think I know which one you’re talking about and I’m excited for it, too!

This week is a bit short, but with lots of reading.

I mean, it was underground and surrounded by lava. I assumed Miang figured that’s safer than SBOOG having it since humans keep amassing stupid amounts of power and destroying their own civilizations.

Did we not JUST agree not to imprison Fei? Oooh, so Shevat feared Sophia and Solaris feared Miang and the shitty governments supposedly at war suddenly found common ground.

And then they destroyed Nisan. Wow.
And Krelian at some point joined Solaris, while Lacan became Grahf and also reincarnated or something as Fei and pursued Deus to find power. I guess that explains his ranting from the beginning of the game. Wow that was ages ago.

I guess Krelian now wants to create his own god. I think he might have misunderstood Sophia’s point juuuust a little bit.

Go Sophia though. She’s so interesting. Didn’t want to be sect leader but accepted her reality and made the best of it and did what she had to to keep the people safe. And she totally agreed to that portrait to get some alone time with Lacan lol. Poor Sophia though, Lacan also started putting her on a pedestal. Sophia won’t open up and Lacan can’t not run away. I wonder how many times they repeat the same beats? At least Kim and that Elly got together, so they clearly do have big differences.

It’s pretty cool to have Typical Fantasy BG while Krelian talks about learning nanotech. It would be wild if that research was Kim’s, meanwhile he’s talking to his reincarnation.

And oooh Wiseman is Khan. He kind of sucks. I kind of feel bad for Id and the “coward”. Also for his mother getting body jacked by Miang. The hosts seem to have some awareness.

Grahf also body jacks people huh. That explains how he could reincarnate…kinda…? It seems memories live in the DNA. But like, it doesn’t seem to HAVE to be direct descendents? I don’t think Kim had any biological kids given Elly’s condtion.

It’s so nice to see Fei’s growth.

Also…Cain and Abel? I wonder if they we’re related or if Takahashi just thought it would be fun.

The memory cube save sound happens when glowy guy pops up. Also hi!! Upper dimensional being “wave existence”!! So during testing, the engine (Zohar) started to explore infinite possibilities, needed more power, and somehow connected to and started drawing from a higher plane of existence? And dragged a piece of that higher dimension down, confined to the Zohar, where they became a unique existence with individual free will that was modeled off of the (original?) Fei’s mother…who was Elhaym? Holy Freud.

Also whhyyy was a child around during experimental weapons testing…? And since it’s a biological computer, the “Elly” shown in the Zohar is flesh and blood (“body”), the “will” (“soul”) to Elly, and the power (“spirit”) to Fei. Or maybe soul and spirit should swap. Gonna be honest I don’t really get the difference, especially in this pseudo-religious context.

And the wave existence obviously wanted to go home, but are restricted by the deus system. So now in order to save Elly–and what’s left of the world I guess-- we also have to help this god by killing god.
