Ending Point
In the room with the blue and yellow memory cubes.

Fun fact! Chapter 50 ends when Fei is alone in the TV room. It would have been a great place to stop for dramatic effect…but the next save point is this one, 20 min later. I’ll need to look at next weeks remaining to see if I should combine it with the week after now, or let it be. This was a long week.

Eating that food did seem like a very bad idea. xD
I liked the meat factory though, reminded me of a previous job I had xD wasn’t with meat, but a lot of conveyors were involved, and scanning machines too, so was funny to see a similar system.

Oof, yeah, that was a huge dungeon with a ton of fighting and a ton of dialogue. I managed to get all of Citan and Elly’s super deathblows/必殺技, it was so long. Fei was much slower on the uptake, only getting the 風 and 地 variations. Gosh the 風 attack sure looks familiar :slight_smile:

I’ve never seen any of these special elemental combos before this week and I have to talk about Elly’s 地 deathblow, ランドウェポン. What is this!? Every other one from this trio seems to be some intense looking elemental attack (Citan’s fire sword is the coolest btw) but then you get this thing:

The password to Elly’s dad’s govt computer is a simple variation of his daughter’s name, for real? Honestly I’d mock the writers here but certain real life governments have been at least as lax with security in recent years.

My feelings at the moment Fei and Elly stop to eat, knowing what’s coming: :face_without_mouth: :upside_down_face:

I let all the monsters out of all the cages for treasure! Including the guy from キスレブ who talks to you, although I’m not sure if he does that even if you don’t buy dog food. He was worried about that dog to the end :sob: I managed to get through the crowd inside the big cage later on for the deathblower 3, too. Didn’t catch a lot of the dialogue because of how time limited it was, but I did catch the boss talking about their siblings.

Elly going off on Citan about his inconsistencies was glorious. She waited until the perfect, dramatic moment to do it haha.

I was totally fine with SBOOG’s conversation with Fei this week (oooo first direct interaction) but カレルレン’s speech was rough. I probably got about as much out of it as I did as a kid playing in English though. Like yes… sciencey things, introns… uh huh.

Last favorite highlight: Ramsus wandering around yelling at people about Fei like he’s drunk.

Military Man Hands over access to enemies of the state, goes to jail forever…is what I was going to say but then they tried to kidnap Elly and he helped her escape so he’s doubly screwed now.

Yes, Citan, just a failure to delete old data…even after going AWOL and being known to support the enemy. Definitely not a first class citizen or agent of the emperor military man. No sus here.

Citan is SUCH a dick for letting them eat that food. Was it practical to keep their energy up? Maybe. Is he trying to prove some kind of point? Perhaps. But if I were Fei and Elly I’d rip him a new one.

Man that light card puzzle…I’m putting it down here for the day. I slashed my finger good and it hurts to push buttons lol.

Hiding an old boss fight in the mook rush, with enemies who drain EP and HP, and right before the save point was cruel!

So emperor cain was born 10k years ago? It sounds like him and the Gazel were born then not survivors of the ship.
We finally get an answer for the memory cubes! Although I think we kinda already knew that but now Fei and Elly do as well.

LMAO not the church music and when the Gazel show up.

Mahanon = the space ship from the intro? Honestly the way “space faring civilization crashes on planet” gets distorted over the millenia is my favorite part of the game so far. I think the Gazel would be in for a rude awakening even if they DID build their “ark” and go out into the universe.

That response to removing Feis limiters was sus. I wonder what if he’s like Elly has doesn’t have one.

Elly was peak here not letting Citan talk his way out of how he knows super top secret info and why their entry was so very easy. Honestly one of my favorite moments with her to date.

Honestly I wish they’d let Citan’s betrayal ride a little longer or have more lasting effect given the build up most of the game, but I guess I’m glad he’s still giving sus vibes lol. If we’d been able to end the week when the chapter ended right then…the dramatic impact would have been great. Sadly there is no save between.

And whew. That dungeon was too long with too many empty halls to pad the gameplay and little dialogue. I’d think there’d be more interest in what’s being researched as we explore but nope!
