So 並のもんでは is just 波の物では, i.e. using normal means. “Using normal means, they were out of his control/reach/ability.”
This is why he decided to create that book.

So, here comes the translations of pages 32 and 33, probably the hardest in the whole book so far !
Let me know what you think, because some stuff is still a bit unsure.

One by one, the cards came to life. Each of them got a name, an aspect and a power given to them.
For instance, the wind card got the power of the wind. The fire card got the power of fire.
A great power resides in the card created by Clow, and each each of them acts on its own volition. On top of that, they can’t be controlled using usual means. (I could be wrong here, see @araigoshi comments a few messages below)
Therefore, Clow himself created that book, and trapped them inside.
He put me, the beat of the seal, on the book cover ,as a protector / guardian.

This books can’t opened by someone without magic powers I suppose the ん between 持た and もの is a negation ?
The fact that you woke me up when you opened the book, it means you have some inate skills to use magic in you. (With っちゅうこっちゃ being short for ということや. Man I’m getting pretty good at spotting this.)
The remaining pages are much simpler and don’t contain that much text anyway.

And yeah, that last bit looks right. “This book can not be opened by people (technically things because he says もん here) that don’t hold magic power, so because you opened it and woke me up, that means you have a bit of talent for using magic within you, is what I’m saying.” is what I arrived at.

Actually, he’s been ending sentences with や a lot, ya! so if he uses that together with the explanatory ん it makes it sound like にゃ. I even wrote it that way in my other post, when it was actually んや
Ah, wikipedia says Kansai-ben uses や in place of だ for informal sentences.

So I think this is がる but nominalised. がる is used after describing the actions of others like したがる is したい + がる or “seems to want”. Or “seemed to want” since the end of this sentence is past tense. In Japanese it’s rude and ungrammatical to say someone else wanted something, you can only say they seemed to want something, so this isn’t as vague as it sounds translated. So this is basically saying that each card could do things according to what Clow wanted.

Also I’ve filled in the useful grammar points and dialect guide section now that I’m feeling a little better, but it seems people have been pretty good about answering each other’s questions this week, so good job everyone

ah, interesting ! My understanding was that the cards were doing what they wanted. And that this is why he locked them in the book, because they were escaping his control.

“This” as in the escape isn’t. Clow making the cards was Clow doing what he wanted.

So I actually know the answer here, but it’s spoiler territory. It’s not like a major future plot point, but it is back story not revealed yet.

Clow Reed lived some time ago. He would make cards on a whim to do what he wanted basically, but when he was dying he sealed them away so no one else could accidentally unleash them without him around to control them.

Got through page 32 with the help of simboubou’s translation! The kansai-ben is definitely harder to parse when it’s in a long monologue like this, though I’m starting to pick up some patterns.
Grammar Point Of The Day: んや
So this is actually equivalent to のです.
のです is used to explain something, or for emphasis.
の shortens to ん and です shortens to だ.
や is kansai-ben for だ.
Kero uses だ → や quite a lot elsewhere too, in fact on page 30 there’s a bubble where he uses it twice in quick succession.
やから大変なんや！
や → だ →
だから大変なんだ！
making it more formal →
ですから大変なのです！
English →
That’s why it’s terrible!!
(On the off chance anyone else was wondering, んや is NOT the noise that cats make, which is にゃ.)
Also, 歯が立ません is an interesting turn of phrase.

Hum… you sure about this ? 
I wanted to get a slightly different wording, and checked a anime version, and the translation seemed to say it was the cards doing what they wanted and causing a disaster if left unchecked. Scanslations also say the same (granted, those can be quite wrong sometimes).
I could be wrong, that’s always a possibility
