“Moving” is the word I was looking for. I noticed it can mean “driving,” but that didn’t sound natural in English. Thanks.
I definitely agree that moving sounds best in English.
That was fun. I had no idea how they changed the paper on those, it’s nice to learn
Omg チトさん
We also got to see more of the cute cat pillow.
Definitely one of my favorite chapters.

Ah, reading this is a welcome change to Kikis or even Fruits Basket. The only mean part was the furigana lacking letter outside the speech bubble.
Interesting glimpse into the custom of witch work requests and more magic related stuff, rain masters! Too bad we couldn’t see how Shiina-san made that pool, though. Makoto introducing herself to Yomogi was very like her, lol
I’m having some trouble with this speech bubble on page 28:
何か霊は周波数を変えて人が認識できない領域に移動できるらしいです
I’m not really sure how to break it up properly, so it doesn’t make much sense when I put the words together…
何か霊は any/some ghosts
周波数を frequency…
変えて change
人が people
認識できない can’t recognize
領域に to an area/range/field
移動できる able to move
らしいです it seems
It seems that ghosts are able to move to an area/range/frequency that people can’t recognize?
OK, I have no clue about the context yet, so that does sound interesting indeed
I think I would translate some of the words a bit differently, and maybe that makes a bit more sense:
何か霊は周波数を変えて - some ghosts change the frequency (maybe of their magnetic field? or the light they emit that makes them visible? or something - no idea)
人が認識できない - humans cannot perceive
領域に移動できる - can transfer to range
らしいです - it seems
A bit liberally translated: “Some ghosts can change the frequency to a range that humans cannot perceive, it seems”
Is my wild guess
That kind of vibe…I thought it was more in the sense of phase-shifting/shifting to a hidden plane, like wot they do in the scifi though.
Edit: also, that ending picture
This is also very well possible (depending on what frequency they are talking about).
That’s exactly how I understood it as well.
There’s not a lot of context around it besides MC holding the hand of the ghost, then ghost disappeares and she can’t feel the hands anymore. The next speech bubble is about how they don’t get it either.
@denzo I think it’s some kind of waves thing similar to sound frequencies humans can’t perceive. If she would phase into some kind of weird looking parallel world, I’m sure she would easily notice when Makoto made her visible a few chapters ago.
Thanks so much for the clarification! Good to know I was not too far off with my shot in the dark
Will read the chapter tonight, promise
Thanks all for clarifying this part for me – looks like I had all the pieces but wasn’t putting them together right “changing the frequency to a range that people can’t perceive” makes so much more sense!
Gave me a good chuckle, too! (Poor Makoto! Was not quite as easy a job as she initially thought )
STOP. Your are attempting to use logic. Take a deep breath, hold it for a moment, and let it out. Then carry on with your day as if nothing happened
More seriously, it’s a common trope in scifi (pretty sure it happens in stargate, startrek, WH40K etc) that some device can shift people and objects “out of phase” with reality and they become invisible/untouchable. No shifting worlds involved.
A bit later than usual, but it’s still the right day in Japan!

One question please meow~

Any ideas on what the わおっ スルー in the bottom right panel might be…?
That makes a lot of sense. Thank you!
