Where are my lessons

where is lesson 2? waiting over 20 hours now.

You have to keep doing the reviews till you level up. After you level up you will have more lessons available to you. It seems slow at first but this system makes sure you don’t accidentally bite off more then you can chew and end up with thousands of reviews
 Like some users.

what does level up mean?

Once you get comfortable enough with the vocabulary in your current level. (Answer the reviews correctly enough times) You’ll receive new lessons and eventually level up!

Each level consists of first radicals, then kanji, then vocab. As you go up the levels these all tend to get more complex.

They will explain everything you need to know!

You unlock subsequent lessons by promoting your already learned items through review. You can see when the next reviews are coming on the main page.

thanks! but I have to say that the way the site works is not very transparent

Yeah I had a similar experience when I started. Most users don’t even use the vanilla site and instead incorporate “user scripts” which modify how the site works making things even more complicated. But once you get used to things it becomes a very powerful tool!

Agree. The site is not intuitive. Just read the Q&A and you’ll have a better idea on how things work

When I joined in 2016, there wasn’t such a thing, but I thought WK has a tutorial for new users. I saw something like this with a bright pink background a while ago, but I don’t know how to trigger the tutorial as a non-new user.
