What verb conjugation is 洗練された?

This is one of the context sentences for 洗練.

As the title says, could someone explain the verb conjugation for 洗練された in this sentence? It almost looks like the causative form but that would be 洗練させる. Or is it like a set phrase that people say?

コウイチの洗練されたおもかげを、二度と忘れることはないでしょう。
I’ll never forget the look of Koichi’s refined face.

It’s just the combination of passive + past tense.

The passive form of する is される which is された in the past tense.

It is the past tense of される、the honorific/passive form of する, though I think 洗練された in itself is a phrase meaning something like “sophisticated”.

Thank you! I need to read up on the passive form then.
