That happens here also, specifically with that radical ![]()
Yeah, several of Koichi’s radicals don’t exist in the kanji character set, so they’re represented by images instead. Sometimes it takes a little while for the images to load.
Some plugins block web fonts, which is how most of WK’s made-up radicals are implemented these days. So, if you have any security/adware plugins, try disabling them on wanikani.com.
